A Timeless Textural Trendsetter

Many may know Coogi is one of the most colorfully unique urban clothing lines today but it was once Cuggi, later to be renamed in 1987 to sound more like an indigenous Australian name. Coogi's little known fact is that it started in Australia (founded by Jacky Taranto of Melbourne,Australia) moved to Europe, and now resides in the street of America . It was first intended as a souvenir item for American tourists. While in Australia it started a new trend of colorful patterns and wild and authentic style that is Australian heritage.

• 1990 is the famous year that put Coogi on the map or in the forefront of the fashion industry others may say, by New York rapper Christopher Wallace aka "Notorious BIG". BIG featured the brand in his platinum single song, One More Chance; quote: "I stay Coogi down to the socks" (by way of my blog title). 2002 Taranto sold her ownership rights, Coogi was purchased by US investors for 25Mill.

As of today, Coogi has come to be known as an international (uber-luxe) clothing line. Coogi sells menswear, womenswear, kidswear, and other product categories such as cargo pants, t-shirts, jackets/outerwear,hoodies,dresses and denim. C69 is Coogi's new mainstream line which features relaxed weekend wear i.e Polo's and shorts.
